The Journey

"Pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words."
I've been listening, looking, searching for so so long but I don't know if I'm closer to you or farther away.
They said so many times that it's about the journey and not the destination. But what is the journey when you don't even know if you're pointing in the right direction? Hundreds of thousands of years gives the journey a sour taste. Especially when your destination is home.
Home.
Does it even exist anymore? Am I on the wrong side of the universe or did I slip past without even noticing?
So many what ifs, but that doesn't matter right now. I can't lose focus. 
"Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you."
The fog around me is thick and unrelenting, but I must keep moving. If I stop now, it would all be for nothing.
